More about Melissa George.

From Monterey Bay’s coastlines to Bidwell Park's majestic oaks, my path has woven through many places. Creativity and adventure guide my way of being, whether I'm running winding trails or tending to growing things. Living within diverse cultures and communities has deepened my commitment to social and ecological justice. I'm dedicated to shaping human and ecological systems in ways that promote greater flourishing in our world.

My background is in education as a teacher and school leader. I've served in different capacities across K-12 classrooms in the United States, Indonesia, Germany, and Morocco, as well as leadership roles in international schools in India, Greece, and Morocco – teaching across grade levels and subjects, serving as school principal, and directing teaching and learning. These experiences, combined with my doctorate in Organizational Development & Change focusing on leadership development, have deepened my understanding of how education can bridge cultural perspectives while nurturing meaningful change.
